Decent order, slow delivery

I placed an order for some sweet potato slips in May. The slips themselves were healthy and well-packaged when they finally arrived, though shipping took about 10 days to get to me in Georgia, which felt a little long. I've had faster shipping from other seed companies. The variety I chose, 'Beauregard', is growing well now. The website was easy to navigate and placing the order was straightforward. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the shipping delay, which was a plus. I'd probably order again for unique varieties, but I'll plan for longer delivery times next time.

Fantastic tomato seeds!

I ordered some heirloom tomato seeds from here and they are just incredible! Everything sprouted so fast, way quicker than I expected. I got the 'Cherokee Purple' and 'Brandywine' varieties. The plants are already big and healthy, and I can't wait for the harvest. Definitely shopping here again next season for more!

Good value, free shipping

I was looking for some good quality organic seeds without breaking the bank. I picked up a few packets of collard seeds and some corn seeds during their fall sale. The free shipping on orders over 50 was a nice bonus, that made it worth buying a bit extra. Everything arrived in about a week, felt like a pretty good deal overall compared to other places I checked out. Happy with the savings.

Can I use multiple gift certificates on one order, or just one at a time?

P Phil Silva 2 months ago
I think you can use more than one. I used two smaller ones on a bigger order last year without an issue.

A Anna Torres 2 months ago
Pretty sure they let you stack gift certs, it's just a payment method after all. Promo codes are usually the 'one per order' kinda deal.

Are their seeds really heirloom? Like, true to type and not some F1 hybrid stuff?

R Raj 2 months ago
Yup, definitely. They are big on open-pollinated and heirlooms, it's kinda their thing. Not GMOs either.

L Laura 2 months ago
They explicitly state they only sell open-pollinated, heirloom, and non-GMO. You're good there.

Hey, I'm thinking of ordering some sweet potato slips. Does anyone know when they usually ship those out?

E Emma 2 months ago
I got mine last year around late May, early June. I think they wait for good weather.

S Shane 2 months ago
yeah, they have a specific window for those. Best to check their site or just be ready for a May/June delivery. It's not like regular seed packets.

I'm in Ohio, wondering how long shipping usually takes for a regular seed order?

D Daisy 2 months ago
For me in PA, it's usually less than a week, maybe 3-5 business days max. Ohio shouldn't be too different.

Depends when you order, if it's peak spring, it might be a bit slower. But general seeds are pretty quick. Garlic bulbs and live plants take longer though.

I'm looking at their collard seeds, are they competitive with Baker Creek or Johnny's in terms of variety and quality?

B Ben C. 2 months ago
For Southern stuff like collards, I actually prefer Southern Exposure. They have varieties specifically adapted for the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, so they really shine there.

B Brett M. 2 months ago
Baker Creek has a huge selection but SE is really focused on regional adaptation which is super helpful for those specific crops. Quality is excellent from both though.

Anyone know if they do free shipping often? Or only on big orders?

D Derek W. 3 months ago
Pretty sure it's free shipping on orders over $50. That's usually what I aim for.

Yeah, over 50 bucks. I've seen some seasonal sales too but the $50 minimum is pretty consistent.
